New Report Finds Heavy Radio Listeners are Ideal Targets for Summer Blockbuster Ads
Recent studies commissioned by Westwood One | Audio Active Group track consumer perception and behaviors around one of America's favorite pastimes: moviegoing. Findings show that radio listeners may be box office gold for new releases.
RADIO FANS ARE NOT YOUR AVERAGE MOVIE FANS
Heavy radio listeners are more engaged than the average person with the movie category. Nearly 1 in 4 are frequent moviegoers, going several times a month or weekly (vs. 15%), and 1 in 5 see movies in the theater opening weekend (vs. 16%). When considering Westwood One's list of 10 major new movie releases from this spring and summer, half of heavy radio listeners are already aware of the films and have higher intent to view one of them.
